Mental health difficulties can be scary for both the person experiencing the problems as well as those supporting them. Being a young person can be a challenging time, with frequent transitions and ever increasing pressures both academically and socially. Developing an understanding of your own difficulties can be extremely rewarding and the first step to making positive changes.
As a CBT psychotherapist with experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties, I recognise the importance of receiving help in a timely and accessible way. I always tailor my therapeutic work around the needs of the child or young person to fully engage them in the process, in turn providing support that is both relevant and helpful.
To ensure the most appropriate support is offered, an assessment is always completed initially. This provides you with the opportunity to experience what talking therapy involves, meet me and decide if CBT is the right approach for you.
